Trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in April 2014

Author CmdrCord - Last updated: 04.02.2014
Hi TU members,

this is your invitation to an all-inclusive trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone from April 8th – 13th.

The group will be about 30 people, but don’t think of this as your typical Chernobyl tourist trip – we will be dropped off in Pripyat and it is highly likely that we can walk around on our own or in very small groups then. So you’ll have lots of time to see whatever you want, go inside buildings etc – things the guides usually won’t let you do.
This trip is targeted especially towards photographers and explorers, so there will be lots of like-minded people.
If you have seen my photos from the previous trips (-> Link <-), you’ll know what to expect.

We will spend 3 days in the zone, at least one full day will be spent in Pripyat; on the other days we might visit some other places like the Duga 3 antenna or Yanov station before going to Pripyat for the rest of the day.

As it stands now, the price will be GBP 430 (GBP 100 deposit to be paid asap), that includes everything except the flight to Kiev Borispol, which you’ll need to book yourself.

Other requirements:
- must be 18 years or older
- EU residents need a valid passport, others might need a visa too, please check
- you need to be able to walk with your gear for a few hours, we will have no cars in Pripyat

We are using a facebook group to organize everything, but if necessary I can act as a proxy for those who don’t like facebook.
If you want to join, please tell me ASAP (PM here, facebook or mail michael@m-koetter.de) as there is limited space.

If there are any question, please ask them here or just PM me. I’m looking forward to meeting you in the zone!
