Underground Medical Center

Well here goes my report on what was one of the strangest explores i have done to date . I knew this place existed but was finding it really hard to find the location . Then i found something on the internet pointing me towards an area in Sheffield . Not having much info at all i set off at 5am on my trip to find this location .I arrived at the area in Sheffield and started to have a look around .

I spotted a possibility and made my way over . I was questioning weather this was the right place as it was in such a busy part of Sheffield with cars and people everywhere , could this place really be under everyones nose with out anyone knowing its there , there was even a buisness on top of where i had spotted . This place was really hard to find a way into and it took me a while to work out how to get even close to where i was heading . But i made it and it was looking very promising , loads of broken up concrete and steel bars sticking up out of the ground . Then i spotted this tiny hole in the ground that seemed to head back under where i was standing . I slowley squeezed through and managed to reach the floor . As i looked down what looked like a small corridor i could make out a door , So i unpacked my lighting equipment and headed into the darkness .

As i looked through the door i was shocked to see the size of this place considdering it has been hidden away for years undiscovered . This was the sort of place urbex dreams are made off, not touched by vandals or theives at all . Loads of interesting stuff had been left around like strechers , crutchs and even an old hospital bed . It was awkward to take shots down here as the place was in complete darkness .

Room after room door after door this place was so interesting . There was an old Tango can with a sell by date of 1986 on the bottom .After about an hour down there i decided to make my way back out as i had a few more locations to see that day . I made my way to another hole i had spotted while looking around inside . I crawled out and into the day light again .

The history on this place is really hard to track down , all i know is that it was a medical center that was used and owned by a nearby steel works . The steelworks is long gone now and this is all that remains buried under new businesses .

Hope you all enjoyed this explore as much as i did

Hi, I’m currently about to go into production on a low
budget horror film in Selby, and the sets i would like to create
are very similar to this, could you possibly provide me with more
information on what this place is, do you reckon i’d be able to get
stuff out of there, does anybody own it etc? The beds and
stretchers are exactly what i’m looking foor, it’s amazing! Thanks
