This was a former High School built in 1912. It started as a two-storey 5 room school, numerous additions were to follow including a math wing, swimming pool, cafeteria, auditorium and science wing were expansions from the original building. In 2002 there were talks of building a new school to replace the aging current structure. In September 2010 the new school opened with a developer building two condos on the same land being 24 and 27 stories tall on either side of the institution. Later that month less than two years before its 100th anniversary the remediation and demolition of the old school began to make way for the new playing field.

One notable Alumni from the school is Alice Glass, lead singer of Crystal Castles, left in 2003.

Enjoy the photos.

A former doctors house, now left full of beds, old televisions and eletric trash (didn’t took a picture of the waste…).

I was lucky enough to have time to do a bit of exploring during our last to see my family in Detroit. Woodward Avenue Presbyterian (St. Curvy to Detroiters) has been on my list for a very long time, and it did not disappoint!

We got to this university quite late in the day and thought it would be a breeze, it was but we had underestimated how much time we would need, this university is large.
