Haven House – Lower Saxony, Germany – Dec 2012

Author Carbonangel - Last updated: 23.12.2012

I stumbled across this abandoned house in Germany a few weeks ago, unsure if people still lived here or not i reccy’d the place a few times and decided it was worth a look as nobody had been to the house for ages.

I had a few scares when inside as the batteries in the clock were still working making me again wonder if i was going to find people asleep in there!

I have absolutely no history on the building but it looks as if the owners were in the process of gathering up their belongings before they suddenly disappeared, there were quite a few outbuilding with animal pens which could have been used for chickens etc.

My visit was quite hasty so the pics arnt the best for which i apologise.

This is a pretty good find. It looks a little bit like the owners left or they died… Because the cluster on the table looks like someone will get it soon.

It’s amazing just how many possessions have been left behind in this house. Much more than I’m used to seeing in abandoned homes.

Hi all, this place is also known as University Val Benoît, …. So it was time for us (my partner in crime and me) to do it. We had plans to visit it later, but some plans didn’t worked out, so we give it our first shot.

Located in a small village in eastern France, is the Maison aux Masques, a.k.a. Villa Amande. Very little history to be found online regarding this place, but from what I could find out (thank you Google Translate!) was that the property is earmarked for a hotel, which explains the large demolition notice on the front gate.
