DDR Hörsaal B (De)

Author Bibendum - Last updated: 22.06.2012

For more than 40 years after World War II Germany has been divided by the Allies into East and West. The former German Democratic Republic in the east is ruled by the mighty "Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands" or SED (Socialist Unity Party Germany).

All over the country several SED-Bezirksparteischule are erected to form the future communist leaders. In 1990 Germany was re-united and the communist system replaced by capitalism. Years later some of this schools are still in mint condition.

Hi all, this place is also known as University Val Benoît, …. So it was time for us (my partner in crime and me) to do it. We had plans to visit it later, but some plans didn’t worked out, so we give it our first shot.

Maison aux Masques / Villa Amande

Maison aux Masques / Villa Amande(0)

Located in a small village in eastern France, is the Maison aux Masques, a.k.a. Villa Amande. Very little history to be found online regarding this place, but from what I could find out (thank you Google Translate!) was that the property is earmarked for a hotel, which explains the large demolition notice on the front gate.
