Komischer Vogel Restaurant, Germany – Jan 2013

Author Carbonangel - Last updated: 07.02.2013

Not much information on this site, it was a restaurant in western Germany which closed in the late 80′s – early 90′s and also had a small hotel attached which had some funky wallpaper in the rooms.

The restaurant mainly specialised in fish and had ponds around the rear of the hotel where they raised their own fish for their meals.

The hotel and restaurant opened in 1958 and was widely accepted as one of the best places for fish for miles around.

A relaxed explore for a cold German morning.

We were back in New York for my fiancee’s grandmother birthday. I visited this place a few years back, I only had a few hours of free time and less than ideal conditions. It rained and it was quite muddy hiking up to this little gem it’s a 2 mile hike…
