As some will know, the normal ML-L3 is not compatible with Nikon’s like the D200, D300, D700, D3, D2X and D2H etc. The genuine Nikon MC-30 remote costs approx £55, the Nikon wireless kit costs loads, not so cool – so I was after a wireless remote that did not cost silly money but allowed me to take remote shots.
I found a Chinese seller selling Phottix Cleon sets, they are both corded and wireless 10 pin remotes for the Nikon’s specified above – it cost me £23 delivered, awesome or what?
The item arrived within 5 days and I plugged it in a took a few shots – it works totally fine! I’m going to use this on the next urbex shoot – the wireless control works through walls etc so handy when you are shooting alone.
- Radio control with working distance up to 100m (320ft)
- 16 Channels available
- Hot shoe mount – so it stays in one place
- Single shooting / 2 second delay / Continuous shooting / Bulb mode
- Receiver works as a wired remote ( even without the battery)
Nikon N90s/F5/F6/F100/F90/F90X/D1/D1H/D1X/D2/D3/D2H/D2X/D2Xs/D100 with MB-D100/D200/D300/Kodak DSC-14N/Fuji S3 Pro/Fuji S5 Pro
Usage
Multi-function, hi-tech and compact device, good for using in many circumstances:
- Use for less distracting background, more flexible image creation.
- Use in B mode for night shooting or fireworks.
- Use for macro shooting – eliminates camera shake.
- Use in studio shooting.
- Use for including yourself in family or group photos.
- Use for self portrait or including your children and pets.
- Use for children photography: Candids of the kids playing, grab a shot when they think nobody’s watching.
- Use for astronomical shooting.
- Use for taking photos in dangerous locations.
- Use for wild life photography and hide yourselves somewhere else.
- Use one remote to fire multiple cameras simultaneously by using multiple receivers on the same channel: useful for panorama photography, recording an historical moment, sports photography.
Well happy with this kit, cheap, wireless, good quality and even comes with battery – fully recommned it ![]()
