My urbex adventure took a check from asylums yesterday and I found a derelict haunted house instead! The house is a grade II listed building and has long since been abandoned.
I walked around the property checking it out – it was a remote location and really felt weird being alone. As a horror movie fan, my mind was replaying lots of the typical outcomes ![]()
If you look close, you can see a window that was open, that was the entry point. After looking through the windows, many of the large rooms looked dark – shadows hiding the horror that lived within
Wandering around the corner, light spilled into the room – the fine dust creating circling sun beams. The building was totally derelict, inside was like a skeletal maze
Wandering around the corner I could see a large room and the eroding timbers that used to make up the second floor, an old bath laid rotting in the corner
Looking around, I could see a black bag with what looked like a body in it – maybe the last urban explorer?
I had seen enough, it was time to escape the madness and head back to the exit point – the smell in here was old and strange. On the way out, I saw objects that helped age the derelict house
One last look behind before I got out, dark doorways always raise the hairs on my neck…
And with that, I was gone – leaving no trace of my existence is here. Another urban exploration that I walked away from. Urban exploration is my favorite hobby, nothing can touch the thrill!
Enjoy
